Amanda Orlowski

“I grew up surrounded by our family dogs dreaming of growing up to be a vet or a teacher. And when I did grow up and graduate from Carroll University I began fulfilling that dream by moving to Puerto Vallarta where I taught first grade. Mexico is also where I learned of the enormous need for animal rescue. My dog, Lola, was rescued a few months after I moved to Mexico. She had mange, parasites and extremely matted fur. I met a friend involved in a local animal rescue who guided me in
caring for my first rescue, Lola. I then realized that I wanted to continue helping more dogs like Lola to help find them their second chance. I worked closely with different animal rescues in the community. After learning the process, I began rescuing and
finding homes independently. I have rescued almost 100 dogs/cats from the streets of Puerto Vallarta. Many of the dogs I have rescued have found homes in Vancouver, Toronto, Alberta, Winnepeg, Seattle, Chicago and some stayed local. I love teaching, however, working with animals is my passion. Each animal deserves the absolute best and will be treated as if they were my own when they visit Canine Country Club of
Barrington.”

Sharon Orlowski

I have had the wonderful experience in working in an ongoing family business. The foundation to business is to create a healthy and welcoming environment. This has shaped my work ethics and the experiences in all facets of business.  My experience in inventory control, accounting, and sales is invaluable.  I also have volunteered for many not for profit organizations as the chair for major fundraising events. I strongly believe in creating community good will is key to success. I am currently on the Board for the Polish Museum of America for the past 7 years. During free time I enjoy spending time with my daughter , family, friends and my furbaby Lucy.   I look forward in welcoming you to Canine Country Club of Barrington.

Kathleen DiStefano 

Certified Master Groomer

Introducing Kathleen DiStefano, certified master groomer with 37 years of experience in the industry. Also, director and chief managing instructor of the Autumn River Academy of Professional Pet Grooming and Artistry since 2004. As a professional canine and feline pet groomer, Ms. DiStefano has owned and managed multiple salons and achieved award winning competition grooming in nationals. Throughout her career, she has re-trained graduates of grooming schools for employment and has been a motivational speaker for the pet care industry. Kathleen DiStefano is a member of the Illinois State Professional Pet Groomers Association, the National Dog Groomers Association of America and is certified in canine CPR.
